Creating a merchant (basic)	06/10/14		15 mins	This tutorial will teach you how to create a new Merchant and configure its settings.

Are you ready?

In this tutorial we are going to learn how to create a test merchant configured with the host emulator (proxy configuration). Test merchant will be set up for processing of ACH, batch, real-time transactions, as well as for tokenization. In addition, out test merchant will process convenience fees and tokenize bank accounts.
We will use the following parameters:

Name: Test Merchant
Code: T001

Accounts: Multiple
Tax IDs: Single
Descriptors: Single
Deposit Accounts: Single
Monthly Fees: Per Merchant
(See Merchant Profile for more information)
Configuration: Proxy
Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Management => Merchant Perspective.

Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
Click Newbutton in the top left section of the screen.
Choose Merchant (Extended) menu item from the list.
Locate Merchant groupbox
Locate Profile groupbox
Click Multiple radio button for Accounts.
Click Single radio button for Tax IDs.
Click Single radio button for Descriptors.
Click Single radio button for Deposit Accounts.
Locate Recurring Fees: label - Per Merchant shoud be greyed out automatically after step 10.
Locate General groupbox
Enter T001 into the Codetextbox
Enter Test Merchant into the Nametextbox
Locate Password textbox and enter or generate password.

Note: If you entered your own password, you have to confirm it manually using the Confirm password field. If you chose system generated password, it will be confirmed automatically.
Locate Configuration groupbox
Locate [configurations list] dropdown and select "Proxy" from the list.
Locate account-updater/proxy, amex-batch/proxy and amex-realtime/proxy checkboxes and uncheck them.

Only ach/proxy, cards-batch/proxy, cards-realtime/proxy and tokenization/proxy checkboxes should be checked off.
Now, let's learn how to enable tokenization and convenience fees in real-time processing with the host emulator.
Locate cards-realtime/proxy groupbox
Locate Tokenization Required checkbox and check it off to enable tokenization.
Locate Convenience Fee Enabled checkbox and check it off to enable convenience fees for testing.
Locate tokenization/proxy groupbox
Locate Bank Account Tokenization checkbox and check it off to enable bank accounts tokenization.
Click Savebutton
Congratulations, you are done!
