Are you ready?

In this tutorial we are going to learn how to create an update profile. The update profile is assigned to the terminals for them to retrieve the updates of the terminal applications. It is used for cases when an update is uploaded to the terminals of the same manufacturer or model, same unique feature or similar business environment.

We will use the following parameters as an example (these values are used for training purposes within this tutorial only):

Code: US_SAMPLEPAY_RES1
Name: Ingenico Update 123
Models: iCT220, iCT250, iSC250
Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Management => Portfolio Perspective.

Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
Locate Portfolio dropdown and choose an appropriate portfolio from the list.
Click Equipmentbutton
Choose Updates menu item from the list.
Click Addbutton in the opened form.
Locate General groupbox
Enter US_SAMPLEPAY_RES1 into the Codetextbox.

Note that this field consists of three sub-fields: Country field is filled out with country code - US, Processor field is filled out with processor’s name - SAMLEPAY, Attribute field is filled out with specific information about the associated reseller - RES1.
Enter Ingenico Update 123 into the Nametextbox
Locate Active checkbox and check it off.
Locate Models groupbox and check iCT220, iCT250 and iSC250 models off.
Click Savebutton
Congratulations, you are done!
