How to migrate a terminal from one merchant account to another

  1. Are you ready?

    In this tutorial, you are going to learn how to perform a terminal migration from one merchant account to another one.
    We will use the following parameters:
    Source Terminal
    Merchant: 2000 : System Merchant
    Account: 2001 : cards-realtime/proxy, cards-batch/emulator, ach/emulator
    Terminals: 2001 : cards-realtime/proxy, cards-batch/emulator, ach/emulator : 1
    Key: 2001001

    Destination Terminal
    Merchant: 523006000 : Merchant test Lana
    Account: adj5555 : Account1
    Terminals: adj5555 : Account1 : 1
    Key: 523006002001

  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password.
  3. Navigate to Terminal Perspective.
  4. Select 2000: System Merchant in   Merchantdropdown from the list.
  5. Select 2001: cards-realtime/proxy, cards-batch/emulator, ach/emulator in Accountsdropdown from the list.
  6. Select 1 in   Terminalsdropdown from the list.
  7. This terminal will be migrated to another merchant account. It is called Source Terminal.
  8. Click   Detailsbutton .
  9. Locate   Details  tab.
  10. Locate   General  groupbox and verify that the terminal status is Active.
  11. Click Actionsbutton
  12. Choose Migrate  menu item  .
  13. Locate   From  groupbox and verify the information about the source terminal.
  14. Locate   To  groupbox.
  15. Select 523006000: Merchant test Lana in   Merchantdropdown from the list.
  16. Select adj5555: Account1 in Accountsdropdown from the list.
  17. Select 1 in   Terminalsdropdown from the list.
  18. This terminal is called as Destination Terminal.
    Verify that as source as destination terminals have different merchant accounts.
    Check that the status of the destination terminal is Unassigned.
  19. Click   Savebutton .
  20. Check out the Status field. For source terminal the status is In Migration (out).
  21. Click   Logsbutton .
  22. Locate     Migration  menu item.
  23. Verify the information about the process of source terminal migration, which is displayed at Migration Form. The process status must be Pending.
  24. Locate   General  groupbox for the destination terminal.
  25. Check out the Status field. For destination terminal the status is In Migration (in).
  26. Click   Logsbutton .
  27. Locate     Migration  menu item
  28. Verify the information about the process of destination terminal migration, which is displayed at the Migration Form. The process status must be Pending.
  29. Call TMS API get-configuration API function.
  30. The message will be displayed at the terminal "Terminal migration completed. New Terminal Key [terminalKey]. Please update the support sticker".
  31. Click   Findbutton .
  32. Locate     Updates  menu item to verify that the terminal sends the get-credentials API function, and then it will be restarted. You can check it out by log files.
  33. Locate   General  groupbox for the destination terminal. Verify the status of the destination terminal. After the migration process is completed the status of the destination terminal must be Active.
  34. Verify the status of the source terminal. After the migration process is completed the status of the source terminal must be Unassigned.
  35. Click   Logsbutton .
  36. Locate     Migration  menu item.
  37. Locate   Migration Log  groupbox.
  38. Verify the status of the migration terminal process at the Migration Log form. The status of the migration terminal process must be Complete.
  39. Congratulations, you are done!
