Registering an encrypted decryption key

  1. Are you ready?

    In this tutorial we are going to learn how to create an encrypted decryption key on the System perspective.

    We will use the following parameters:
    Key Code: test-key-encrypted
    Algorithm: IDTech (AES)
    Key Format: Value
    Content: 0123456789ABCDEFFEDCBA9876543210
  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Administration => System Perspective.

    Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
  3. Click   Keysbutton in the top section of the screen.
  4. Choose   Decryption  menu item  from the list.
  5. Locate   Search  groupbox
  6. Click   Createbutton
  7. Enter test-key-encrypted into the Key Codetextbox
  8. Locate   Algorithm  label
  9. Locate   IDTech(AES)  radio button and select it.
  10. Locate   Type  label
  11. Locate   Value  radio button and select it.
  12. Enter 0123456789ABCDEFFEDCBA9876543210 into the Contenttextbox
  13. Locate   Description  textbox and add description of the key if needed.
  14. Click   Applybutton to save the key.
  15. Congratulations, you are done!
