Managing merchant selection

Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Management => Merchant Perspective.

Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.

Firstly, let's learn how to select merchants with which you will work on the merchant perspective.

Locate   Merchant  dropdown in the top left section of the screen.

Click   Manage Selectionbutton next to the Merchant dropdown.

Choose   Modify Selection  menu item  from the list.

Select Merchants form should now be visible on your screen.

Locate   Merchant Search  groupbox, which contains various search criteria to locate needed merchants.

Click   Findbutton to see all merchants available within the system without specifying search criteria.

Locate   Available (use Shift key ...  groupbox. The result of your search should now be visible on the screen.

Click Add All >>button to add all found merchants to the selection.

Click << Remove Allbutton to clear your merchant selection.

Now you have basic understanding how to add and remove desired merchants into and from the selection.

Next, we will learn how to choose a specific merchant and add its accounts to the selection. For the sake of this tutorial, let's select the first merchant you have in the list.

Click "+" next to the first merchant in the list to review all associated merchant accounts. Locate the first two checkboxes in the list and check them off.

Click Add >button to add selected merchants and merchant accounts to your current selection.

Click   Applybutton to confirm current merchant selection and close the form.

Locate   Merchant  dropdown again and select the merchant, that you previously added to your selection on the "Select Merchant" form. Observe the buttons located in the top right area of the screen. As you can see, all functionality is available, when a single Merchant is selected.

Note: All Merchant records in the dropdown will have the letter "M:" as a prefix to its name.

Locate   Merchant  dropdown and select one of the Accounts that you previously added to the selection. Observe once again the buttons located in the top right corner of the screen. Notice that some functionality is not available, when a single Account is selected.

Note: All Account records in the dropdown will have the letter "A:" as a prefix to its name.

Select Multiple in Merchantdropdown ; observe again the buttons located in the top right area of the screen. Note that some buttons are not available, when using this mode. However, when you execute searches (for transactions, batches or statements), they will be run across entire selection of the Merchants and Accounts that you have in the Merchant Perspective.
