How to create an adjustment reason

  1. Are you ready?

    In this tutorial we are going to learn how to create a new adjustment reason. We wil create an adjustment reason that will be used for payment plan cancellation.

    We will use the following parameters:
    Code: 01
    Type: Cancellation
    Name: Relocation
  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Console Perspective.

    Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
  3. Select appropriate Merchant or Merchant Account in the top left section of the screen.
  4. Locate     Codes  menu item
  5. Locate     Setup  button in the top section of the screen and click on it.
  6. Choose   Adjustment Reasons  menu item  from the list.
  7. Locate   Adjustment Reason Code Li...  groupbox
  8. Click   Newbutton
  9. Locate   Adjustment Reason Code  groupbox
  10. Enter 01 into the Codetextbox
  11. Locate   Cancellation  checkbox and check it off to select an action for which this adjustment reason is applicable.
  12. Enter Relocation into the Nametextbox
  13. Click   Savebutton
  14. Congratulations, you are done!
