How to change terminal status

  1. Are you ready?

    In this tutorial we are going to learn how to change the status of a terminal. It may be needed for situations when a terminal should be activated/deactivated, unassigned or reset. To learn more about terminal statuses, review this guide.
    We will use the following parameters as an example (these values are used for training purposes within this tutorial only):
    Terminal ID: 123
    Current Terminal Status: Active
    New Terminal Status: Inactive
  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Management => Portfolio Perspective.

    Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
  3. Click   Equipmentbutton in the right top section of the screen.
  4. Choose   Terminals  menu item   from the list.
  5. Locate   Search  groupbox
  6. Locate   Hierarchy  groupbox
  7. Enter 123 into the IDtextbox
  8. Click   Findbutton
  9. Locate   Terminal List  groupbox
  10. Click   View Terminal Detailsbutton next to the terminal.
  11. Click Detailstab
  12. Locate   General  groupbox
  13. Click Actionsbutton
  14. Locate   Change Status  menu item
  15. Click Deactivatemenu item and approve the action in a separate pop-up window.
  16. If you followed all the steps correctly, your screen should look similar to this screenshot.
  17. Congratulations, you are done!
